10:00 Daffodil Show
  • 10am - 11am Show entries received
  • 11am—2pm Judging and Daffodil Show (Viewing begins after judging is complete)
1:00 Arbor Day Ceremony
  • Tree City USA Award—6th year
  • Duck River Electric Cooperative –2nd year
  • Cascade School winners in the Arbor Day Foundation Poster Contest


1:30 TREE PLANTING AT THE PARK
Memorial trees will be planted and a Daffodil sculpture by Russ Faxon will be installed.


Free tree seedlings from the Tennessee Urban Forestry
Division will be available all day on the square.

Daffodil Day is sponsored by the Bell Buckle Chamber of Commerce
and the Bell Buckle Tree Board.





Daffodil Show Rules

  1. Entries accepted from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday, Mar 18, 2006.
  2. The show is open to all exhibitors. Entries must be from the exhibitor’s own garden. Exhibitors may enter daffodils from someone else’s garden if that person’s name is on the entry form.
  3. There is no limit to the number of entries by any exhibitor.
  4. No exhibitor may enter more than one of any variety in each class.

Division I Specimen Classes

Section A Single Specimens
  • Class 1 All miniature daffodils
  • Class 2 All one bloom per stem daffodils
  • Class 3 All double flowered daffodils
  • Class 4 All multiple bloom per stem specimen
  • Class 5 The Bell Buckle Home Town Challenge – Open only to Bell Buckle residents. Your best bloom, any type.
Section B
Youth Any type of daffodil. All exhibitors in this class must have had some part in the growing of the daffodil, whether planting, watering, fertilizing, or cutting for the show.
  • Class 6a Youth from ages up to 10 years old
  • Class 6b Youth from ages 11 to 18
Section C Collections
  • Class 7 All collections of three or more specimens, the same or different cultivars in one container

Division II Daffodil Arrangements

Section D
  • Class 8 Miniature/Small arrangements up to 10” 10”
  • Class 9 Medium arrangements up to 18”
  • Class 10 Large Arrangements up to 24”
  • Class 11 Youth Arrangements
  • Class 12 Senior Arrangements – 70+
