This year’s 15th
annual festival will be held Saturday, June 20, 2009. The day will begin
with 1,000 runners taking part in the 14th annual RC-Moon Pie 10 Mile
Run. The grueling course is both a challenge and delight for runners aging from
10 to the over 70’s crowd. The festival continues with games, contests,
cloggers, Country music and bluegrass, and over 50 arts and crafts booths not to
mention the dozens of food booths featuring Southern fares such as Tennessee
Smoked Barbecue, hand squeezed lemonade and deep fried Moon Pies!
The perfect ending to the day is the cutting of the World’s Largest Moon Pie – free dessert for all! In Bell Buckle, when they say “let them eat cake” they really mean it and serve it to you with a gooey smile!
A day of fun for young and old celebrating THREE southern traditions: RC Colas, Moon Pies and Historic Bell Buckle, Tennessee- where we are 100 years behind the times and proud of it!
